氨基磺酸水溶液具有与盐酸、硫酸等同等的强酸性,因为胺基中和效果,氨基磺酸酸性变弱,而氯化钠是盐酸盐,归于强酸盐,所以氨基磺酸与氯化钠不会反响。

所以,氨基磺酸用处之一便是可去除铁、钢、铜、不锈钢等金属材料制造的设备表面的水垢和腐蚀产品,一起氨基磺酸还是唯一可用作镀锌金属表面清洗的酸。需要留意的是:使用氨基磺酸水溶液进行清洗时,温度一般控制在不超越66℃(以防氨基磺酸分解),浓度不超越10%。
